As much as I love photographing at grand or well-known venues, there’s always something exciting about lovely, quaint DIY weddings.

Campsite Wedding Photography
Lauren and Matthew, a wonderful couple from Scotland, were planning a humble and fun-filled wedding at a campsite on the Scottish Borders near Harwick. To make this even more personal, I also discovered it was the first place they ever went camping as a couple… Cute!
This campsite wedding was simply a dream to photograph. It was chilled and relaxed but also seemingly had lots going on… Not a bored face was seen!
I stayed in the same hotel as the Bride and Groom, so it was lovely to bump into them in the bar before the wedding began. We then started our day at the hotel for the preparations before making our way to the campsite for a wonderfully personal (and slightly damp) humanist ceremony. The celebrant of choice was the lovely Sarah Morrison.
We enjoyed drinks at the campsite before a hearty BBQ provided by Field-Fire-Fork.
Two different bands provided entertainment. Viper Swing and Jim Jam Ceilidh Band.
If you’re planning something a little different for your wedding, I’d love to hear from you!
I trusted you absolutely from the outset.
You were an absolute pleasure to work with and the photographs are genuinely now up there with one of the favourite things I own (from someone who as a rule hates any photographs of themselves!)Lauren & Matthew
